Iscar's new family of turning inserts
brings SUMO TEC performance and durability to CVD and DVD carbide grades
Introduced in
2007, the Sumo Tec line of products is designed for heavy duty
machining.
Better chipping
resistance, longer edge life, cooler running and a reduction of built up
edge are just some of the benefits gained by the Sumo Tec treatment for
inserts. Sumo Tec inserts are available in the most popular
geometries. With two Sumo Tec grades for cast iron, three for steel and
one for heat-resistant alloys, there is a solution for every machining
need.
The Sumo Tec line
also includes a complete line of heavy duty turning and rotating tools.
Since heavy duty applications tend to mean large depths of cut, rough,
non-uniform surfaces and high feed rates, the Sumo Tec tools are
designed to withstand the harsh treatment and still provide long tool
life and increased productivity.
When performing
heavy duty machining applications, tool holding can be an issue. The
Sumo Tec line of products includes a hydraulic chucking system.
Designed with vibration dampening and ease of operation, this addition
to the Sumo Tec line of products helps you to increase productivity and
work performance.
