uses tangentially clamped inserts with two helical cutting edges.
SumoMill is a family of milling tools designed to use tangentially
clamped inserts. Included in the SumoMill line are the Helimill and
Heliplus endmills and facemills. Using the newest evolution of Sumo Tec
inserts, the SumoMill family enables tool design with larger core
diameters than those with radially oriented inserts.
The
SumoMill line provides outstanding tool life and high durability due to
the higher tooth density and tangential orientation of the inserts in
the pocket. Excellent surface finish is achieved at higher table feeds
with the SumoMIll line, speeding up production while still providing the
desired results. All of the SumoMill tools have coolant holes.
